Many questions are asked about the project Fonderie and the trees in it.

Historically, the hill of Pérolles was not forested. When the route de la Fonderie was widened more than 45 years ago, plantations were carried out to stabilize the slope of the mound.

A land clearing request was made and approved during the previous PAD (trad: Retail Development Plan) project. A compensation amount was collected and allocated to the revitalization and maintenance of a bacterial breeding site listed in the federal inventory. It is called “Les Cases” in Rossens. This measure, led by the Forest and Wildlife Service, the Bureau de la protection de la nature et du paysage and the Centre de coordination pour la protection des amphibiens et des reptiles de Suisse, is a relative compensation for both forest conservation and nature protection.
